I'm interested in understanding how the brain makes decisions, learns, draws conclusions, and makes generalizations. I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology and the Neuroscience Program at USC. Prior to that, I was a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute, Princeton University, where I worked with Nathaniel Daw (2018–2022). I received my PhD at the Donders Institute, Radboud University, with Roshan Cools and Ivan Toni (2011–2016). I have received master's and bachelor's degrees in control engineering from the University of Tehran.
